Hi, Friends of Nature Followers! This week, we’re going to be talking about our most recommended dry, canned and freeze-dried cat foods!

N&D

Our number one recommended dry food is N&D by Farmina. It’s made in Italy, with out any GMO’s and meat meals. Farmina only use fresh and dehydrated meats in their four different formulas:

  • Grain Free with Pumpkin
  • Standard Grain Free
  • Quinoa Functional
  • Low Grain

Grain Free with added pumpkin helps with digestion. Quinoa Functional uses single exotic proteins. Quinoa contains high levels of protein as well as vitamins B-1, B-2, B-6, and vitamin E. The low grain formula only uses oats and spelt.

Neutered Formula

Formula specifically for neutered adult cats. The first ingredient in this high protein, limited carbohydrate, and low fiber food is fresh quail. There aren’t any grains or gluten, so it’s a great option for cats with sensitivities or allergies. It’s a low glycemic formula, so it is a great option for pets that need a food that won’t spike blood sugar.

Urinary Formula (Quinoa Functional Diet)

Formulated specifically for cats that get UTIs and bladder crystals. It has a source of essential amino acids, mineral, and natural antioxidants from the cranberries that are added and has a Low Glycemic Index.

Open Farm

Our second recommended dry food is Open Farm. Formulated in Canada and manufactured in Minnesota. All their formulas have:

  • High Protein
  • No grains, corn, wheat, or soy
  • No artificial flavors or preservatives
  • No meat byproducts

RAWZ

One of our top recommended canned food is RAWZ, made in Maine. Some cats need moisture added to their diets, while some just prefer the taste and texture of wet food. RAWZ offers a shredded wet food to appease the palates of cats that prefer shredded texture over pate.

RAWZ doesn’t use any carrageenan gum, guar gum, or xanthan gum. These gums have been known to cause cancer, digestive upset and/or diarrhea.

Feline Naturals

Feline Naturals is a freeze-dried option that is made in New Zealand. You can use it as a topper to your cat’s dry food, or as a complete meal.

Their three formulas are all made with:

  • Grass-fed and free range meats
  • Rich in taurine, which helps support and maintain cat’s general health and is also important to eye health
  • NO grain, wheat, gluten, GMO ingredients, corn, soy, cereals, dairy, rice, potato, or any other fillers
