Hey, Friends of Nature Followers! This week, we’re going to be talking about our most recommended dry, canned, and frozen diets.

N&D

Our number one recommended dry food is N&D by Farmina. It is made in Italy, without any GMO’s or meat meals. Farmina only uses fresh and dehydrated meats in their four different formulas:

  • Grain Free with Pumpkin
  • Standard Grain Free
  • Quinoa Functional
  • Low Grain

Grain Free with pumpkin added helps with digestion. Quinoa Functional uses single exotic proteins. Quinoa contains high levels of protein as well as vitamins B-1, B-2, B-6, and vitamin E. The low grain formula uses only oats and spelt. No wheat, corn, or soy is used in any of the formulas.

Nature’s Logic

Our second recommended dry food is Nature’s Logic. Both the Original and the Distinction use millet, with no peas or potatoes. Nature’s Logic is naturally high in taurine, and all formulas include microencapsulated probiotics, and digestive enzymes. Nature’s Logic does not use any synthetic vitamin and mineral packs in their food, all nutrition comes from food sources! The Distinction formulas are higher in meat and calories, and the Original formulas are higher in protein but lower in calories.

Hound & Gatos

Hound & Gatos is our newest can, packed with a bunch of healthy benefits for your dog, of all ages! NO by-products, corn, soy, artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors. All the cans are limited ingredient, 98% meat, and completely grain free.

Koha

Koha is a great canned food for puppies to adults! They have two lines that are both grain and potato free. There is a minimal ingredient stew, which i a single protein recipe. The single protein is great for dogs that have sensitive stomachs, with added pumpkin and New Zealand mussels, which help support joint health. Thei other line is a slow cooked stew that can have up to three different proteins and has selected veggies such as green beans, and carrots. Awesome for picky eaters!

Steve’s Real Food

Steve’s Real Food is a frozen and freeze-dried company that has a couple of different options to get raw food into your dogs diet, without hurting the checkbook! Their frozen food uses the highest quality raw meats and produce. It comes in both nuggets and patties, and are the most affordable option when it comes to raw feeding.

Their freeze-dried foods use the same formulas that the frozen foods do, they use a cold freeze-dry process to remove the moisture. The freeze-drying process does give you the option of storing the food in the pantry! By adding a little water, you can go from the bag to the bowl in about 5 minutes. If you don’t want to feed it as a meal by itself, you can also use it as topper on the dry kibble you are feeding. Perfect option for picky eaters or to feed as a treat!
